the bronte tram

bbrrr..feels like the winds are coming from the antarctic, but the sky and ocean are clear, the beaches deserted apart from the die hard lap swimmers and surfers.
bronte was a once sleepy little beachside suburb now known by some as bronte carlo due to its stunning coastline and rising real estate values. many cafes to choose from overlooking this... a good spot for a weekday lunch for our son's birthday, without the weekend crowd.

the bronte tram once travelled from bondi to here along bronte rd where later i visited the shop named after the old tram.

a gorgeous antique, vintage furniture and homewares shop that adds some history and charm to the area. i love the masses of chandeliers, french style furniture and interesting collections.

serendipity
- when someone finds something they weren't expecting to find or
 "happy accident"
suits the shop

this light blue dresser has me thinking about painting mine

this old shop has seen some changes from when the tram rattled past.
love the windows with the etched signs

how beautiful is this ocean pool & the water colours

looks a bit icy

hope you're enjoying your week!

  8. It sure is chilly out there alright, I'm thinking that I should have extended my holiday in New Zealand because it was warmer where I was than it is here - and I never thought I'd say that!! This shop always intrigues me but I'm a little afraid to go inside lest I see something I desperately want for the NZ cottage that has no possibility of fitting into the suitcase when we make our trip back in the summer. However from your photos I can see they have some nice smaller things too so when I feel brave enough to drag myself away from the heater I just might pay them a visit.
