old willow

there are some people you instantly have a connection with. angela from victory collectables in charing cross was someone i connected with on my visits to her character filled antique & collectables shop. a lovely soul with amazing intuition and kindness.
this is where i found these mismatched old willow plates and oriental teapot, which makes a good vase, for a bargain price. i already had the cups and saucers so the plates are a good addition to the collection.
for this table setting  we carried the bench seat from the deck inside so i could fill it with the blue and white cushions from our sofa.

angela also offers tarot card reading.
drop in and say hi if you're in the area.

  3. I love the willow pattern too. When I was a child we had just a couple of pieces and one of my fond memories of my mother is her telling me the story of what the picture meant.

Thanks for the heads-up on the store :)

  20. I love love love blue willow. I have my aunts collection of service for more than 20, most of which came over during the war from England. I've posted about it on my "Thanksgiving" post if you're interested. I really like the cup and saucer you have. I've been collecting for several years and have never seen one like that. Very charming.
