turquoise love







this is an excerpt from an article about the meaning behind colour preference i thought you might find interesting. 
using and avoiding certain colours is a way of self-expression; it sheds light on our personality.

turquoise:

healing properties: increases intuition and sensitivity. Works disinfecting and antiseptic. tones the general system. builds the skin. Relaxes sensations of stress.

preference for turquoise: just like the wide turquoise sea you don't want to feel restricted and you don't immediately bring to the surface what goes on in you; emotions can remain hidden. a color for non-triviality, renewal, innovation and inventions, progressive technics, alternative ways of living together, humanity.

    The first photo makes me want to do my whole house in turquoise. I love the color. I can't believe I don't have one room with turquoise in it. I will have to put that on my to do list for 2012.

    Blue and white is unbeatable therapy. Mine would have to be turquoise too. I was married in it and it just goes on and on in my life.

    Had to hop over from Marty's the minute I read the title. I love turquoise! Especially with red. Last year I painted my island and fan hood turquoise. The rest of my kitchen/family room is red and green. Still loving my pop of turquoise! Your bottle vignette is stunning.

    Turquoise is a fabulous color for many reasons. Your images are exquisite. Are those sweet peas? I have a small group of turquoise Ball jars. Love to fill them with flowers, but I've never used sweet peas. I will now!
