holidaying in my own backyard .. there are 3 ocean pools we can walk to from our place and with the beach pretty packed at this time of year, it's good to escape the crowd and dive in to one of the salt water pools. a gorgeous morning, this new year's day, after weeks of ordinary weather, the sea extra bright blue, great for photos. sorry if i'm rubbing it in with many of you in the middle of a freezing winter.
& after a swim you can treat yourself to a massage by the sea, out on the deck above wiley's baths. what better way to relax to the sound of the waves.
the water was great by the way ;)
The beach does look quite busy there! I'd be in the pool too!! The blue is amazing.ReplyDelete
Oooohh it all looks so heavenly - because you are right it is freezing cold here right now.ReplyDelete
I so miss living near the beach. Miss that brilliant blue.ReplyDelete
Those views are to die for! Weather looks great too, happy days :) xo KirstyReplyDelete
You live in paradise! Beautiful photos. I love the last pic of the (plumeria?)flower. If that's a plumeria, I have never seen one that shade of peach. You are not rubbing it in. It's so comforting and relaxing to visit your blog (inspiring, too).ReplyDelete
it is plumeria, we call them frangipani. this one is a brighter pink, i softened it with antique effect on iphoto. xReplyDelete
They are such a great place, especially if you are a bit scared of sharky's like I am, for some reason I think I'm safe on a surf board though?ReplyDelete
Ocean pools is something we dont have on the Gold Coast and so wish we did. Ocean swimming is just the best and can't stand heading to pools anymore. The ocean wildlife still scares me a little;)ReplyDelete
OMGoodness, how beautiful! I wish I was there! Lucky you! Enjoy, we are freezing here! I would love that message though! LOL.ReplyDelete
Wow, what a gorgeous place to live! So beautiful!ReplyDelete
Tough gig living in Sydney eh?! Heard the beaches have been manic these past few days with all that long awaited sunshine! Lucky you (as I refill the hot water bottle) ;)ReplyDelete
Get the spare room ready I'm on my way. I miss living close to the beach and warm weather. Moved from South Florida to Savannah GA. Have been here for 6 yrs and I still can't get used to the cold weather. I'll trade places with u anytime.ReplyDelete
Was these really meant to be an invite ;) Stuck here in gold old Utah with absolutely no snow on the valley floor ha and we are named for the "Greatest Snow On Earth"! Its still cold and smoggy though.... that lovely sunshine and blue water is REALLY calling my name :)ReplyDelete
It looks so inviting! Thanks for sharing, LauraReplyDelete
