creative corner

hello.. welcome to another week!

this little creative corner started with an unused computer desk that was almost tossed out 'cause we all have laptops now.

in a place where every bit of space counts i like how this desk now doubles as storage space. adding a skirt? to the front keeps bits & pieces out of sight. the sliding piece made for a keyboard is a good place for computer paper & other paper things and underneath i've stacked ikea storage boxes & piles of magazines.

i bought a piece of white cotton fabric & this stretch cord from spotlight (habidashery shop). measured and hemmed the fabric top & bottom, screwed the eyelets into the desk & threaded the fabric onto the cord. the hooks screw into the cord to attach to the eyelets.

some old found shutters came in handy again as a notice board.

i use these lovely vintage boxes to keep jewellery making supplies & gift tags.

a place to make jewellery, stamp cards, wrap & address packages to post.

my little creative corner by the sea

do you have a creative place of your own?

  1. I love all your creative bits and bobs and styled so beautifully as well. I have started a crafting room but it is a bit of a mess at the moment. I'll have to get to it. Leahx

  7. Oh I just love this. So many fun things in one little spot. I use my dining room table as my workspace/creative spot, despite the fact I have also created a sewing room with a long table to work at. That place doesn't have a view though. I like to see out the front and back while I work, so the dining table it is. Makes the place look a mess though. That's the downside.

  9. A cute coastal creative corner. I do have one...but it is an entire room~ my seawashed studio. It is where I spend most of my day with my lil dog Bella Bleu and kitty Lily Monet by my side. Lily always sleeps in the white directors chair while Bella is curled up at my feet.

  20. I love your aqua-blue blog; I come here often, as it's very soothing and calming with the beautiful images. I like your little corner by the sea; very clever use of things and gave me some good ideas. I have white folding shutters just like that which I've used in place of a headboard but my husband isn't too fond of it, so now I know what to use my discarded shutters for (recycling and repurposing is a good thing!).
