time for a change

Hi.. how's your weekend going?
A long lazy one here in Australia. We're enjoying some much needed rain, it doesn't rain it pours. Hope none of you are affected by floods or tornadoes?!

I've been deciding what colour to paint this this lovely old table I was given and last week finally gave it a revamp. I liked the rustic timber top as is, so I didn't need to do much. Because we've painted just about every surface and every shabby old piece of furniture in this place white, I thought it was time for a change.

Inspired by the black furniture at Atlantic I took the plunge and mixed a dark charcoal colour with paint I already had. I like the contrast of the charcoal against mostly white.

before..

Have a great week!

Cheryl

  8. Cheryl, I love it. You're so brave! Good on you. This rain is now doing my head in though. It's been a great time to tidy things up and go through emails etc. Very scared for those in QLD though and for the families driving home. I'm hoping our caravan is still standing. Prux

  20. Bit late here but oh wow... i LOVE it... I am painting our front door charcoal and was hoping to do something similar with a small entry table. Very motivating to see an end result of a similar project!
