sea sparkle

hello..
it's interesting how different the view can look depending on the light, the temperature, the weather, the season, the tide, the time of day & i've been trying to figure out what makes the sea sparkle some days. it seems to happen as the sun hits the water at an angle in the morning, when there's a breeze making the surface ripple. the sunshine hits the tops of the ripples creating a magical sparkle.
i'd like to hear your thoughts on why the sea sparkles.

hope you enjoyed the view, the colour and the sparkle as much as i did :)

  2. So pretty, I love those sparkles too! On our beaches it seems to be in the morning around 10 or 11am when the light is hitting the sea at a slight angle, it's so beautiful :) xo K

  3. I love your term "sea sparkle"--it is so fitting. I love your pictures and your love of the sea (me too, although I'm landlocked, I get there as often as I can)

  8. You're right - the sea "sparkles" because of the angle of the sunlight hitting it, which is why it changes throughout the day, and also because of the changing seasons. Whatever technically causes it doesn't really matter - it's really pretty, just like your images! Thanks for sharing!

  13. I think the sea sparkles because it is the greatest place on earth to be!!!!! Oh how I wished I lived closer to the sea. But I live in Kansas in the USA. Right in the middle. No seas for days away. You are so lucky
