vintage finds

hi lovely blog friends..

this has been a mammoth weekend of painting things white at our place. steve has been slaving away giving our walls a fresh coat of bright white paint. the colour is dulux whisper white, if you're wondering. i've been freshening up lots of the white painted furniture that was looking pretty shabby, not in a good way. so happy with the clean, fresh look.

you might remember this old dresser was a throw out across the road from another art deco building. it had probably been there since the late '20's early 30's. i dragged the old thing across the road by myself! in my excitement. it suits our old kitchen and looks like it's meant to be there.

the books & mismatched china are mostly found & collected from thrift shops & garage sales. i like how everything in here has a story & time worn character.

what do you like collecting?

  1. It's a lovely piece and i do remember you dragging it over the road. Amazing the strength one has when they want something.

As for what I love collecting, well just about anything that's vintage

  4. I love the cabinet but the little white tea pot with the fish on it has captured my heart. I collect things that delight me and I have a mish mash of colletibles.
