not sure if i'm going to sneak in those couple of swims i was talking about. wet, wet, wet here, a very indoors kind of week. so instead of the beach i headed towards the city. only about 15 minutes drive away we have the colour and diversity of the inner city & all that brings.
today i thought you'd like to come with me to "doug up on bourke".
vintage, rustic, antique heaven in a big old industrial warehouse. so much amazing stuff it's a great place to get lost for a while. i was thinking, you know you're getting old when some things that are now vintage you remember having and using!
so many photos i'll show you the rest in another post.
one of the biggest sources of industrial & rustic antiques in sydney.
everything is available for props hire.

That looks like a fabulous place to shop. I'm drooling over all the glass jars...demijohns..mason jars...oh la la...I have to get out more and hit up the thrift shops cause I am having some major love for all I see in blogland!!
ReplyDeleteYou find the most amazing places! I must check this place out - after the rain stops ;) I'm definately not going anywhere until then - according to the weather forecast this morning the expectation is that we'll have all of April's rainfall this week but by the look of the downpour out there right now I think we might be going to get all of May's as well!
ReplyDeleteLove all the blue jars! I wish I lived closer! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis place looks amazing! I'm off vintage shopping with my BFF on Saturday but I doubt we'll find anywhere like this! Photo prop heaven :) xo K
ReplyDeleteGosh, this is the coolest place ever!!

Oh, wish I lived in Sydney so I could visit this place!
ReplyDeleteI'll be on the next flight from New Jersey - I wish!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shop - I have a collection of demijohn bottles and those would be a great addition!
The old signs, the shells, the chippy paint - pretty much everything I could cram into a suitcase would be all mine!
You had me at vintage - new Linky follower!

ReplyDeleteoh, I want to be there!
ReplyDeleteHello there, my first time here and I saw your link with that lovely photo of the blue fruit jars, so I knew I had to come over and see those! I have quite a collection of them myself. Anyway, thought I would pop in and say hello and what an awesome place and some great finds! I loved everything!
ReplyDeleteI'd love that map of Australia. Gorgeous store and you have inspired me to get there at some stage
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
I love the large green jars and the old ships and the map of Australia. If I lived there I would have that map. Great vintage post. Love it.
ReplyDeleteooo, love the large bottles and the little seafoamy chairs. btw, that doesn't mean you're getting old, it means they're reducing the number of years it takes for stuff to become vintage. they keep doing that to me, too.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
ann
Get out! Those blue and white kids chairs.....MINE
ReplyDeleteTons of goodies! Love the eye candy!
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing eye candy :)

Yowza! That place looks AMAZING!! Thanks for showing us these pics!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's it. I'm probably going to have to camp out here. I love this post. We don't have great vintage stores or flea market type warehouses here that boast the cool factor and intrigue that this one holds. Thanks for posting this. Now I can go window shopping through the computer and not be in danger of spending a dime. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing place! Those bottles and demijohns are beautiful and not very expensive.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
