remember the vintage french fabrics i showed you here.
i thought of something to do with them that didn't require any sewing. some inexpensive, one of a kind gifts that smell beautiful.
i used rectangular handmade (not by me) soaps, some single or some stacked 2 or 3 together. i cut a square of the fabric & wrapped each bundle like i would wrap a present. with the folds on the top i tied them with natural string.
i tied on some brass charms i already had or a shell & added some gift tags i'd made.
to make these gift tags i glued a piece of the fabric onto these large luggage tags. the glue i use is a quick dry adhesive from spotlight that seems to work well on anything.
i have fabric left over to make something else. maybe i'll get the sewing machine out one of these days.
i'll leave you with an image of the massive swell hitting our east coast. amazing to watch but unfortunately doing a lot of damage to the beaches.
see you next time!
Very clever!

Beautiful fabrics and a lovely way to use them. That storm had me worried for a while. Mr Beach House was out and about in it, but lucky came to no harm.
