this old mantel is a perfect place for christmas decorating & although the fireplace is a bit small for santa to fit through it's nice to imagine. we're loving hydrangeas here at the moment and some added greenery brings the room to life.
the burlap / hessian bunting is a quick & easy, no sew kind.
- measure one triangle to size and use as a template for the other pieces
- paint letters with white paint using a small paint brush
- add white braid to the top and secure to string with mini wooden pegs
- tie big white bows to the ends made with torn soft white fabric. i used an old sheet.
have a great week!

Hydrangeas are my favorite flower, but other than the dried variety from my summer garden, we don't traditionally see them at Christmas time in MN. Yours look so lovely and fresh on your white mantel! Visiting from Common Ground. Merry Christmas!
