boatshed style

i've always had a love for the humble boatshed and could see myself living in one .. next to the water, watching the boats go by, listening to the sound of the water. painted white with simple furniture , a touch of blue, shells, driftwood & vintage marine things.

these are some images i've had in my scrapbook for a long time from the days when i collected pictures from magazines, as well as  some from boatshed chic. beth lives in a boatshed on the south coast of new south wales and collects some interesting finds from thrift shops in her area. i love her decorating style.

this one belongs to australian fashion designer trent nathan. located on pittwater in the far north of sydney

  1. Oh lovely! I think I could handle some 'boatshed' living myself - if it's by the sea I'm in! :) xo K

  4. Oh, wouldn't that be a a dream come true, although I doubt my big family would fit :) What beautiful images you've shared here. I'd love to transform my shed out back into something like this!

  9. There is something so magical about boats heds, they remind me of little playhouses of childhood, I would also love to decorate one. What fun!

  10. I would love one in a quaint little beachside village, take up writing, and fill jars with found treasures that made their way to shore such as smooth pebbles, seashells and small bits of coloured glass.

Now you have me dreaming xo
