part of a poem we learnt off by heart in primary school..dorathea mackellar was right about the drought and flooding rains. after years of drought we're in a wet phase. it's nice for keeping the usually high temps down but not great for many in northern nsw and queensland where it's flooding.
just back from a quick trip to the southern highlands, my mum's place. a bit like winter with a log fire burning in the lovely old country pub where we went for dinner.
wishing i could have taken more photos with blue skies, but i found some beauty in the rain and the ducks are loving it!
I love all your pictures - that lush grass looks beautiful - it's the middle of winter here, so our grass has gone dormant. Even before then, however, we've been under water restrictions, so our grass hasn't been very green lately :(
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Looks like a lovely break. Such a stunning garden.
ReplyDeleteHappy weeeknd to you Cheryl.
