an old frame i found was a gold picture frame before i painted it & had a mirror added.
an oar picked up in a council clean up & whitewashed.
some wine boxes thrown out at a bottle shop, now great for storage in any room & out on the deck in summer here.
a perfect size for storing collected, most loved magazines.

what have you found lately?
Beautiful display - fresh! X
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next council pickup! I love the oar x
ReplyDeleteGreat finds......especially because you've put them together soooo beautifully! I think we read the same mags. We must be due for a new batch shortly? ;o)

LOVE storing magazines in a wooden crate. Your beachy ideas are awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette and photographs.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics, i love the feel of your styling, simple and stylish, i love calm spaces. Yes i love a great find and i am akwats on the look out. My best one recently was a wardrobe I painted yellow for Rowan's room. I found some amazing retro pieces to decorate my fibro beach house I have almost completed renovating. I am now following you. I do hope you pop on over and have a peek at the beach house and the other bits snd pieces I blog about
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love all your white painted pieces. So lovely what paint can do.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found anything as cool as your wine box or your repainted cupboard.
ReplyDeleteYou're too clever! All looks gorgeous. I have been doing a bit of redecorating lately & I have been finding great stuff at the ex hire places. I was looking for clients but ended up with a $20 bedhead for my 16 yo, a chaise for $400 & New York style bookcase for $500 not absolute bargains but the last 2 pieces are really special so I was pretty pleased with myself because it's a lot less than what I was prepared to spend!!

A lovely arrangement, nice mix of natural wood and white paint as well as such different textures - the strength of the rope and the fragility of the flower together is clever :)
ReplyDeleteRegarding the winebox I'm thinking they might bake a good outer for a dollhouse, without knowing the actual dimensions I could be making a mistake but it looks like they could be just the size for a 'one up one down' room arrangement - I need to visit the local liquor store and find out what they do with theirs! I've never thought of it before. Never thought of them for storage either, they'd be great in our NZ cottage.
What a pretty vignette. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteEvery element is wonderful! I love using wine crates. I currently have one in front of my fireplace holding a mossy plant. Found you at Savvy Southern Style
ReplyDeleteEach of your finds are terrific and the vignette is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for using a wine box. Love it in the mix of whites.

love the displays, been looking for old wine crates here but not come across any yet, my best find recently was on an old door at the recycling centre a small brass anchor door knocker, it will go lovely on our new cottage by the sea we are renovating :-)
ReplyDeletegreat ideas as always! I like the rope, it adds a nice touch. I have started to put some items out here in our new abode in Texas. We tend to move a lot so it's hard to nest. I recently put out my favorite jars with shells since those can be easily packed and moved to our next destination. Hope you are having a great day!
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet vignette and fun finds. We too have an oar we found on the beach. I was about to say enjoy a beautiful summer day when I realized that you are in winter. So, enjoy a winter beach day!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! I love the natural colors mixed with the pretty turquoise...love it all. Come link up to Centerpiece Wednesday!
