baker's twine diy

Hello... Today I have a couple of super quick and easy ideas using bakers' twine and good old doilies ;)

All you need are a couple of recycled jars, 3 small paper doilies for each jar, bakers' twine and tea lights. Hold or tape the doilies in place while you wrap and tie the twine.

Sea stamped gift tags

After searching the supermarket i ended up finding paper doilies on Ebay. That's where I found the twine too. It comes in lots of great colours.

One of the best things about blogging is the connections you make with like minded people around the world. I've been very late in thanking the following lovely people for awards I've been nominated for over the year.

Thankyou!

  1. Amazing how hard paper doilies are to find. The supermarkets don't stock them anymore. They should. I ended up buying mine at top dollar from a party store.

Love the pretty votives and gift wrapping. I need to get some of that twine.
    Have a great week

    1. Carolyn, I can get them at Woolies here in the party section, but I also find them in the cheap shops, or your local paper wholesaler if you want a few and I also found a great mixed packet on eBay.

  5. The Jars were definitely so adorable and doable and then you went and added light and made them amazing. How sweet would these be all lined up and softly lighting a room! The package idea is great too. Love the simple look with the added contrast. Love it!
