ikea christmas

Hello.. Would you like to join me on a night shopping trip to Ikea? I know I always enjoy a look inside when I haven't been for a while. It's open 'til 9pm weeknights, so far uncrowded & beats the weekend traffic, crowds and queues.
Apart from the Christmas things it's fun & inspiring to look around and makes me want to get organised at home.
The decorations tied to a branch above gives me an idea. I'll be using driftwood.

cosy

a light fitting I wouldn't mind owning

always great ideas for small space living

simple

cute.. but not really my style ;)

summer ideas

Loving these all white things I bought home with me.
A big white umbrella for a family Christmas lunch on the deck at our place.  A few more white lanterns always come in handy.  White star light, still needs a globe. Candle votives. White bedspread I'm using on the lounge seat for summer. Lots of white serviettes. Christmas lights. Metal container I have ideas for.

What do you like about Ikea?

  2. You got some cute goodies!

I am really loving the blue and white curtains in one of your pictures - I would love to have them in my living room!

I have an Ektorp sectional in my living room, and an Expedit shelving unit.

My stitching/crafting/blogging room has an Ektorp seat - it's soooo comfortable.

I hate battling the crowds, so I rarely get to go to IKEA, but I love it each time I visit!

  4. I have never been to an Ikea store, the closet one to me is 5 hrs away. I love looking at their catalog. If I ever got the chance to get to one I would probably be in there for days, they would be sending a search party for me. lol

  14. Oh! I love that lamp fitting! Thanks so much for sharing. We have my husband's grandmother's lamp hanging in my dining room, which I HATE, and this looks like it may be the solution I've been looking for.

  16. Oh what's not to like! I haven't been in so long, all the way down in the last very tip of the USA, we are lucky to have a Pier One. Whenever I do go, like you I love stocking up on tea lights, lanterns, bedding, wooden frames and everything else I can squeeze in. Thanks for taking us along, I had fun.
