Hi Cheryl, I just love your blog and I love that you have made your own little nook without braking any budget. Your little space looks fantastic. That is one thing I ask our architect to do is make me a little nook next to the kitchen to put my everyday notice stuff and my Mac.
ReplyDeleteSimone.
So that was "Breaking" not braking the budget.x
ReplyDeleteI love what you did. You mentioned all but the
ReplyDeletebeautiful turquoise address book. Very nice touch. I found a vintage 1940's original water-color in it's original bamboo frame in a consignment store for $42.00.
I love your office. It's so soothing.
ReplyDeleteI love your work area and the louver doors are perfect, what a great find! Love the shells and fish. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the different textures going on, and love the string of shells...Your so lucky finding things at the side of the road x
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you I just noticed I'm on your sidebar. very flattered :) x
ReplyDeleteSo charming and lovely! It's fabulous and very creative. Hope you have a wondrous week :O)
ReplyDeleteI'm heading over to your side today can't wait. Love the louvres. I saw some on the side of the road the other day. I wonder if they are still there. As usual you have nailed it with your styling.
ReplyDeleteI take it you are a teacher. If so, what do you teach? I used to teach at what is now Redham House but it was called something else then. That's why I'm heading over your way, as I am catching up for lunch with some old teacher mates.
Have a great Day
Best Carolyn

I love this - shows you don't need a lot of space - only creativity and taste - to make a beautiful "room of one's own" - spectacular job!

Hi Cheryl-
ReplyDeleteI have seen shutters used in different ways, but seeing how you arranged them above your desk just is the best. I have a few shutters and I am going to do this to corral all the papers that I need nearby, but don't want cluttering up my desk. I added it to my DIY Daily page on my blog. Readers can click the links to see my favs.
Thanks for the inspiration.
My best- Diane
How you designed that space only shows that you can use any types of materials, whether it is expensive or not, in order to create a beautiful and conducive office space. This also shows how passionate and creative you are to design such an empty space, and convert it into a lively and inspirational one. Nice job!
