weatherboard love part 2

a short walk from watson's bay is camp cove...narrow little streets full of charming heritage fisherman's cottages. a haven nestled between the massive sandstone cliffs at the entrance to sydney harbour, secluded harbour beach and naval base.

this cute cottage is an all time favourite of mine

love the charcoal weatherboard, white woodwork and nautical touches

giant hibiscus trees

the last of the frangipanis

love the weathered naval base sign

hope you enjoyed the walk!

  3. I love the little cottage with the nautical touches too. It's a little squeezed in there amongst the "big guys", but so sweet. Great to see the skyline from the beach..., you don't get that everywhere (not at all)!!

  5. So beautiful! I love those cottages. I can only imagine living in a little place like that. I would love to see the insides, too. We went to Watson's Bay for lunch one day (can't remember the restaraunt - maybe Doyles?) when we visited my sister there in '03. It was an overcast day when we were there but still lovely- it was nice to see it on a sunny day. Thanks for sharing!

  10. So many absolutely adorable homes and images there. I am loving the blue home and the one with the cream with the blue trim.....definitely my faves. I came across some fantastic old wooden paddles this past weekend which would look divine in any of those homes xo

  18. Wow. Very pretty. Reminds me of the very few old-Florida-type small towns that are still around.

  19. Making me homesick - Camp Cove was far more sophisticated than going to Neilsen's Park when I was growing up, though my mother preferred Parsley Bay. I value them more with hindsight now I live in the Bay Area - California water is COLD!
