A change of scenery with a trip to my Mum's place in the country. I thought you'd enjoy seeing some of the cute old buildings and beautiful scenery of the Southern Highlands in and around where she lives. Peaceful settings and a beautiful time of year with a touch of Autumn in the air, extra pretty and lush after some heavy rain.

The Southern Highlands is about 1 1/2 hours drive from Sydney.
See you later in the week with some vintage shopping spots in the area.
Have a great week!
Gorgeous photos Cheryl. I have only been to the southern highlands once but thought it was beautiful.

thanks vicky! x
DeleteI wouldn't mind visiting mom if that was the location. Don't get me wrong, I loved visiting with my parents, but I preferred that they come to our little beach town instead of us fighting traffic into the suburbs of Los Angeles. That is one reason we bought a beach house. We figured when/if we ever had grandchildren then they would want to visit grandma and grandpa at the beach.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend in the country.
i have to fight a bit of traffic leaving the city to get there.
Deletesounds like a good plan.. i'm sure your grandchildren will love your beach town.

Your Mother lives in such a beautiful location. Thank you for taking us along with you and showing us another side of Australia. Some of your pictures reminded me of the British countryside while as others look very different.
