old ladder

hi everyone..


there are certain things in life you can never have enough of. some would say shoes or handbags. for me it's old ladders, old jars and bottles, wooden boxes and shutters. practical, portable and full of rustic charm.
my sister recently gave me this old beauty to add to my collection. i love it out on our deck but i'm sure it will be put to lots of other uses around this old place.


here's a simple way to light up a balcony... 
a rustic old ladder, some jars of flowers, a couple of potted plants and candles.

i had lots of fun when i first discovered it, photographing every day things around my place then adding different effects and borders. thanks to the help of sophie i've finally worked out how to load them onto my computer. i must also thank james, born with a mouse in his hand, for all his computer knowledge and help.
thank goodness for tech savvy kids!

hi there..


back to reality after a quick trip to tahiti. the sun appeared briefly today and warmer temps give me some hope of better weather ahead.


something we love about the area we live in is the diversity.. beach on one side and not far away the colourful, quirky inner city suburbs.

tahiti sounds nice

hello everyone..
after a week of sometimes torrential rain and wild weather i feel like i'm seriously lacking in vitamin D. a few days of rain are bearable but cabin fever is now setting in and it's time for a tropical escape, don't you think?
