not too many flowers around these days so succulents make a good alternative. i love the interesting shapes and colours, so hardy, easy to grow from cuttings and virtually maintenance free. i used a litle old suitcase i bought at a garage sale a while ago as a container. i thought it would come in handy one day.
i brought in some potted plants from my deck and collected some cuttings to fill the spaces in between.
i cut a piece of world map wrapping paper i had to cover the lid
sat some in containers of water, i think they would grow happily here for a while inside or outside
added some beachy touches to the front
i love to read your comments. let me know what you think.

This looks like something I might be able to do. It looks so nice with the succulent's. The map wrapping paper is a great idea for a suitcase! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by from Sarah's party! I've just gotten into growing some succulents myself. Your idea is great!
ReplyDeleteFabulous old suitcase, I have a few at the cottage in NZ. I always wonder what tales they would tell if only they could talk - all the journeys they've been on, all the people they've 'known' ... Just love what you've done with this one! Top marks for originality!
