iggy's by the sea

today i'm taking you to iggy's bakery.. mainly to share with you this counter at the front of the shop!
being on a grain free diet (long story) unfortunately i can't be tempted by the gorgeous sourdough bread and bagels. what draws me here is the sea green paintwork of this beautiful old counter and the gorgeous sign writing on the window.

apparently the owners moved to bronte beach from cambridge massachussets USA, where they had / have? a successful business. you can read more about iggy's famous bread on the USA website here.

it's right near the three blue ducks
- a great cafe if you're in the area.

enjoy the weekend!

Mostly I don't miss bread, except when you can smell it cooking in a bakery!

  9. Lusting after that counter. How sad not to be able to eat sourdough. I love fresh bread. One of life's little luxuries! x

  11. There is no way I can look at a Hue like that and not think of the Ocean! It has total Coastal Beach Cottage Charm and it would be a Delight to visit a Shop that has both great Style AND Fab Foods! I suspect I'd be spending a lot of time there... *Winks*

  12. Love that counter. We need more independent retailers and less mass-produced franchise/chain stores!
