Hi.. how's your weekend going?
A long leisurely one here in Australia.
I'm enjoying having a few kinds of white flowers around the place after my birthday. I don't think there's a white flower i don't like! These gorgeous tiger lilies were a lovely surprise from my son.
I like how they look in an old jug against greeny aqua colours. The anchor cushion is a new purchase from etsy and the navy and white ones have been stored away for a while. Swapping cushions has given the room a new look for little cost.
Can you imagine the beautiful scent of a french vanilla candle combined with the lilies? My own little sanctuary.
white lilies are definitely one of my favs (my bloggy name kind of gives that away!) but i also adore a bunch of lisianthus. they look alot like roses, but last longer!! Kate x
ReplyDeletei thought so kate! love those long lasting flowers too.
DeleteVery pretty. A son who gives flowers must be a thing to behold. Hope you long weekend is travelling well.

michele
thankyou michele! & i like them too.
DeleteI don't think I have an absolute favourite..it depends on the season and what they're surrounded with. I do love daisies though, I've just bought a pale yellow one that really looks good with some pale grey. I also love agapanthus and jacaranda in a garden, orchids, roses..the stripey blousey ones..and I could go on..and on..haha! Your lighter looking cushions are a great look for the warmer season.
ReplyDeletei'm the same as you carol... i like a lot of different flowers. the pale yellow daisy sounds nice.
DeleteHow lovely of your son and such good taste. Oriental lilies are stunning. One of about fifty of my favourite flowers! x
ReplyDeleteoh, thanks penny, i thought they were tigerlilies.
DeleteHi Cheryl, love your lilies and hope you had a wonderful birthday :) Specifying a favourite flower is tough but if I had to narrow it down to a few it would be tiny daisies, peonies and lavender ;)

What lovely flowers from your son! I love so many flowers it's difficult to choose one outright. My favourites would include tulips, sweetpeas, roses and lavender.

Hi, you have reminded me that I have some navy blue anchor stud earrings somewhere?....must dig them out.....and my pop ( who is 94! ) has a anchor tattoo on his arm from his navy days....it's faded and blurry but I still love looking at it. What a lovely son!....mine is 6 so I get blades of grass....which still have to be beautifully displayed of course ; )
ReplyDeleteLoved visiting your blog....found you thru Tania.
