shelter from the storm

Goodbye Indian summer.. A wet and wild start to the weekend and a drop in temperatures reminds us autumn is here and winter isn't too far away .. it's kind of nice to be bunkered down inside.

Getting cosy with candles, a warm rug, some favourite magazines, the colour turquoise and dried blue green hydrangeas.

couldn't agree more!

  2. What weather we had this weekend. At least the garden won't need watering for a week. Your lovely living room would have been a great place to snuggle in during the storm. Beautiful.

  7. I am on the opposite season as you, but I have to say, I love the beginning of the fall. It is so hard to get projects done during the summer because the beach calls out to me. So when the air cools down and the sun hides behind clouds, I find the time to create.

    Have a lovely week.

  9. Like Kylie said, we've had chilly mornings and evenings but the days have been glorious. Can't wait for the real cosiness to begin here though!

  13. Your living-room is so inviting! I really needed such inspirational pictures today as my own living-room is complete chaos since ugly renovation phase 3 just begun this morning!

  15. I love to snuggle up with a good magazine and my favorite candle. Love the numbered pail and the turquoise vase. We're 80 degrees for the past few days. It got warmer. It's still cool at night.
